Established in honor of Brian Dierkens, the late teenage son of current CFE President, Ron Dierkens. Brian was a fire explorer and planned a career in the fire service before his life was tragically cut short. The award is presented annually to a young person who is selected by committee based on the following:

  1. A young person who shall be between the ages of 15 and 25, male or female.
  2. The recipient will be of excellent character, have a genuine interest in Fire or EMS Services, antique fire apparatus, education and promotion of CFE ideals.
  3. Award to be announced and given each year at the Perris Pump-In.
  4. Deadline for committee nominations is March 15th each year.
  5. Award is a plaque, $500.00 from CFE, plus other community and business sponsorships.

Potential candidates for the award or their sponsors should submit a “bio” outlining their qualifications to:
