Valley Center Firefighters Safety Expo and Code 3 Run, October 4,
2003
Once again, CFE
director Mike McDonald and the Valley Center Firefighters pulled out all
the stops for this great annual event. A total of 41 rigs, including CFE
member's rigs as well as apparatus from many local agencies joined Valley
Center and McDonald's fleet for a static display in the morning. A pancake
breakfast was served, and area public agencies had booths and displays to
promote safety through education as well as cut and rescue demonstrations
and Helicopter displays and demonstrations from local agencies including
Mercy Air and the California Department of Forestry. At noon, rigs
caravanned in the Code 3 run from Valley Center to the Pala Indian
Reservation Fire Department which served lunch to all those who
participated.
