Chino Valley Firefighter's Fun Muster & Chili Cookoff

In addition to the in-service Chino Valley Fire rigs on display, 14 vintage apparatus attended the 9th annual Chino Valley Firefighter's Fun Muster and Chili Cook-Off held on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the Chino Valley Fairgrounds. Owner/Operators and their rigs included: Chino Valley Fire's 1930 Pirsch pumper; Tony Van Beek's 1938 Chevy pumper; Mike McDonald's 1956 Ford/Crown hose tender, ex-Vernon, driven by Ned Bixby; Doug Hammer and his 1957 ALF pumper, ex-San Francisco; Doug and Emily Stoner and their 1959 International/Van Pelt; Brad Hammer and CFE's 1963 Crown/Pittman Snorkel, ex-Stanton/ex-Orange County; Mike Britt and his 1966 Crown pumper, ex-Orange Co.; Randy Marsile drivng "Big John" a 1967 Crown, ex Orange Co; The Bramm family and their 1970 Seagrave pumper, ex-LAFD; Don Pogue driving the California Fire Museum's 1975 Ford/Pierce mini-pumper, ex-Indio/ex-Mt. Baldy; Mike McDonald's 1978 Ford C-8000 /Pierce pumper, ex-Palomar Mtn VFD/ex-Escondido, driven by Kevin Johnson; Don Beckwith and his 1985 Chevy/Pierce mini-pumper, ex-Chino; Mike McDonald driving CFE's 1979 Crown widebody pumper, ex Chino; and Darrell Gilbert with the California Fire Museum's 1979 Crown Cab trailer "T-1/3."
